The Plane went down into the Sea off the Coast of Cox’s Bazar. Rescue Team Found one Survivor

A transport aircraft AN-26, operated by True Aviation,
crashed into sea off the coast of Cox’s Bazar, claiming the lives of three of
crew members and one critically injured. This incident took place at Naziratek
Point, about five kilometres off the beach town. Cargo planes like AN-26 play
vital role in delivering air cargo to India, China, UK, US and other countries of the
world and sometimes, they do face incidents like that.

Incident Occur?

Airport Manager
said that around 9:30am on Wednesday, this accident occurred minutes after the
plane took off. According to Aslam Hossain, Sadar police OC, the aircraft was
carrying shrimps between Jessore and Cox’s Bazar.
As far as the crew members are concerned, they were
Ukrainians according to True Aviation’s Station Manager SM Hasnat Jahan and
Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner Md Ali Hossain. A search and rescue operation started
by the Coast Guard and local fishermen immediately right after the cargo plane crashed almost a kilometre
off the beach town. Shortly after that, the Fire Service and Navy personnel
joined the efforts to find the deceased or survivors if any.

What Was The
Result Of The Search And Rescue Operation?
Around 10am, two crew members were rescued from the wreckage
and immediately sent to the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital. The names of the
members were Andrey Kulish, 47, who was the flight engineer, and co-crew
Dolodaimar, 44.
Andrey was declared dead on arrival to the hospital by
hospital’s emergency wing doctor, Nobel Kumar Barua. Dolodaimar was admitted to
Chittagong Medical College Hospital who was declared critically injured.
The rescue efforts for remaining two crew members was
delayed by the low tide that caught the plane and drifted it to three
kilometres away from the place where it crashed, said Abdul majid, Cox’s Bazar
Fire Service Operations Officer.

Later in the afternoon, the bodies of pilot Murad
Kaparov and co-pilot Ivan Deman were recovered from inside the cabin, the
police stated. The cause of the crash was yet to be determined, said airport
manager Shadhan Kumar.
